Ann-Maree Ellison

When you ask Ann-Maree when she started yoga, there is always a pause. “I feel like yoga has been in my life all my life”.

Having been trained in various traditions over more years than she can remember, Ann-Maree’s classes are alignment-based, breath centered, and draw on all eight limbs of a whole yoga practice.

Her teaching is heavily influenced by her own sitting meditation practice, observing her students, wrestling with yoga and life ethics and her yoga mentors.

In her teaching you can expect clear instruction to empower your own ability to express yourself through your body, breath and awareness. Her love of music adds to her unique teaching style.

You can expect to develop strength and functional mobility in many directions, learn more about your yoga asana and your own capacity to move. A dash of curiosity and a sense of humour is offered to your practice so you can explore your yoga in the body you are living in.

What I do outside of yoga?

Explore the wonders of nature.

When not in a studio, you will find Ann-Maree exploring all that Mother Nature has to offer either by foot or by bike.

The privilege of connecting with people and communities along the way, receiving first hand the kindness of strangers and the landscapes we move through is humbling.

“To the brave, open-hearted adventurers that join me, I am blessed to call you my tribe x”
